Kolarovo village organizes chestnut festival to celebrate the generosity of nature

The 11th Chestnut Festival is taking place today in the village square of Kolarovo village The festival is dedicated to Mount Belasitsa, the location of the most extensive chestnut forests in Bulgaria and in the Balkans. The event takes place in autumn when the fruit of the chestnut trees have ripened.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy folklore performances, and taste of the local cuisine and the Belasitsa chestnuts, the organizers from the Belasitsa Nature Park say. Tourist trails on the territory of the park will be organized for nature lovers, leading to different interesting locations and waterfalls.

The festival aims to popularize the natural and cultural heritage of the region of Belasitsa Nature Park.
