Hundreds of guitarists will perform the legendary song "Kletva" (Oath) in memory of Kiril Marichkov who died in an accident on stage. The song will be performed during the Sofia Guitar Fest. The event will take place at 5:00 PM today in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture. "We invite everyone who wants to join, even without a guitar", the festival organizers said.

The initiative was originally planned as a tribute to the musician for his upcoming 80th birthday, and he himself was supposed to attend the event.

In an interview with BNR, Kiril Marichkov shared the story behind the song: “When I was making the music for the film ''Vchera'' (Yesterday) with a guitar and sang it to Ivan Andonov, he told me: ''This song will outlive both of us''.
