There are no reports of serious problems with the election day in Turkey for Bulgarian citizens voting in the early parliamentary elections, reports the special envoy for the elections there Maria Petrova. Voting is being done en masse by machines, but by a small number of people - this is how she describes the vote in Bulgaria's southeastern neighbour.

Turnout at the polling stations was higher in Bursa.

In Istanbul, Edirne and Izmir the number of voters is low.

In the two polling stations in the Istanbul district of Avcılar there were times when there were no voters at all by midday. Voters are visibly of an age above 40 but there are also some younger voters.
