According to the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections, the MECH party is emerging as a new player in parliament. The acronym MECH stands for "Morality, Unity, Honour". The party was founded in October 2023 by lawyer Radostin Vasilev, a former ITN and PP-DB MP and former Minister of Youth and Sports.

On its website, the MECH party promotes itself as "the first truly pro-Bulgarian party in the modern history of Bulgaria". "We are not vassals of any embassy and the interests of the Bulgarian people will be our top priority," MECH says.

According to the party leader, its priorities lie in five main areas: energy, agriculture, education, health and internal order and security. Regarding the Russo-Ukrainian war, MECH calls for an immediate halt to military aid to Ukraine and the adoption of a policy of total neutrality.
