The international wine festival "Bolgrad Wine Fest" is opening today in the unofficial capital of ethnic Bulgarians in Ukraine - Bolgrad. The two-day event will be held at the Center for Culture and Recreation.

For the first time, within the framework of the festival, an agricultural-industrial fair "Generous Bessarabia - 2024" will be organized, at which producers of goods and services from all over Bessarbia will be presented. A promotional tour "Tourist Bolgrad" is also planned.

The festival was established in 2011 as a local initiative within the strategic program for the development of Ukraine's Bolgrad region, over 60% of the population of which are ethnic Bulgarians.
