President Rumen Radev opens energy forum at COP29

On November 13, in the Bulgarian pavilion at COP29, President Rumen Radev together with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will open an energy forum, the press office of the head of state reported. 

The forum will discuss the energy connectivity between European countries and boosting of the production and storage of energy from renewable energy sources. Together with other countries, at the initiative of Bulgaria, an intention to accelerate cooperation in this area will be declared. Earlier in the day, at the invitation of the Greek Prime Minister, the Bulgarian President participates in an event at the Greek pavilion at COP29, dedicated to the development of the Vertical Gas Corridor. Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia participate in the initiative to diversify the sources and routes for transferring additional quantities of gas from south to north.
