Athletes with Down syndrome will be instructors at a big Zumba Festival in Sofia today, with the aim of motivating children with disabilities to engage in sports and lead an active lifestyle.

At the event, the especially trained young people will demonstrate their skills, supported by some of the top Zumba instructors. Because, as the young people’s partners believe, there is room on the big stage for everyone as long as they are supported and guided. Young people with Down syndrome from Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia will be special guests at the dance event.

The festival is organized by the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (FAPA) under a project from Sofia municipality’s Social Innovations programme.
