Financial Supervision Commission: The assets of private pension funds have reached EUR 13 billion

The assets of private pension funds have reached EUR 13 billion. According to data from the Financial Supervision Commission, they have increased by more than 20% compared to the same period last year.

 As of September 30, 2024, the number of insured individuals in all types of private pension funds exceeds 5 million, with the largest number being in the most common universal funds, where people born after December 31, 1959 are mandatorily insured. The largest share of the insured is concentrated in the universal pension funds—over 80%. The Financial Supervision Commission reports that the assets of universal funds are growing the fastest, with an increase of over 22% compared to September 30 last year.
