Rumen Radev's visit to Vietnam began with a meeting with the community of Vietnamese citizens who have studied and worked in Bulgaria - representatives of the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association. Hundreds of Vietnamese citizens are members of the organization, which is active in cultural exchange and strengthening bilateral relations.
After a 40-year hiatus, Vietnamese pilots will again be trained at the Georgi Benkovski Higher Military Aviation School in Bulgaria, the President said at the meeting with them.

"40 years ago, when I was a cadet at our Higher Aviation School, I learnt the secrets of aviation together with Vietnamese cadets. I am extremely happy that after a 40-year break, the training of five Vietnamese pilots will start again in our aviation school any moment now, and this is a huge success for me and just the beginning of even stronger cooperation in the future," Rumen Radev stressed.
