President Rumen Radev: Vietnam is an important partner for Bulgaria

After the meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Luong Cuong in Hanoi, President Rumen Radev emphasized that Bulgaria will continue to support efforts to deepen cooperation between the European Union and Vietnam, reported BNR's special envoy to Vietnam, Mira Stefanova. President Radev said that Vietnam is an extremely important partner for Bulgaria in the Southeast Asia region.

"My official visit on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries is a sign of our shared determination to give a new dynamic to our relations and elevate them to the level of strategic partnership’’, President Radev said. In Rumen Radev's words, the joint declaration adopted between the two countries '''is an expression of our common political will for a new stage in our relations''. The two presidents also discussed opportunities for deepening economic cooperation between Sofia and Hanoi. "We outlined concrete steps in areas of mutual interest, with a main focus on investments, energy, information technology, science and education, defense, culture, sports, agriculture, ecology and many other areas", President Radev said.
