Borislav Sarafov meets all the requirements and has the qualities to be elected Prosecutor General. This position was taken by the committees on attestation and competitions and on professional ethics at the Prosecutors College of the Supreme Judicial Council, arguing that no disciplinary sanctions have been imposed on the acting state prosecutor for the past 5 years, he has not been investigated, and the inspections initiated on signals against him have not revealed any irregularities.

"Being an acting prosecutor general in murky political times is not an easy task. I will spare no effort to fulfil the mission and responsibility of leading the prosecution service in a way that benefits society," Borislav Sarafov said. He would focus on the fight against organized crime and corruption crimes, as well as crimes related to traffic accidents and domestic violence and vows not to allow the prosecutor's office to be used for political purposes.

So far, three statements have been received in support of Borislav Sarafov - from the "Angels on the Road" association, the University of Veliko Tarnovo, and the Jewish organization "Shalom".
