The Constitutional Court has admitted all five requests for the partial or complete annulment of the elections for the 51st National Assembly, submitted by We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB), Vazrazhdane, There is Such a People (ITN), BSP-United Left and Velichie. The cases have been consolidated for a joint hearing. A recount of machine and paper votes in 1,777 polling stations will need to be conducted.

Another task is to establish whether, in 442 polling stations, the number of invalid ballots recorded in the election protocols corresponds to the number of actual invalid ballots handed over to regional election commissions. The review must be completed by January 10, 2025. It has been assigned to lawyers, mathematicians and IT specialists, many of whom are former members of the Central Election Commission. The Central Election Commission is obliged to provide the necessary documentation.
