Supreme Administrative Court has once again failed to elect chair

There are no candidates for the position of chair of the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC), BTA has reported. The plenum of the Supreme Judicial Council held a meeting in an attempt to elect head of the institution. The procedure failed because for four consecutive weeks not a single candidate was nominated.

The court is currently headed by the former chairman of SAC, Georgi Cholakov, who was appointed acting chairman after the end of his term in office until the election of a new administrative head.

Cholakov was elected acting chairman with the support of eight of the members of the college, while two voted against.
