"After today's vote for Speaker of the National Assembly, ''We Continue the Change'' (PP) demanded the resignations of Daniel Lorer and Yavor Bozhankov", the party's co-chairman Kiril Petkov wrote on Facebook.

Silvi Kirilov, nominated by "There Is Such a People", fell three votes short of being elected as National Assembly Speaker. Two MPs from ''We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria'' (PP-DB) voted against and one MP abstained.

By a decision of the Executive Council of PP, Daniel Lorer, who abstained during the vote for Silvi Kirilov, has been expelled from the party and all its bodies. However, the same punishment cannot be imposed on Yavor Bozhankov, as he was elected as an MP from the civil quota.

Nadezhda Yordanova, who also voted against, explained that the voting panel did not work properly, and her vote was counted incorrectly.

"Democratic Bulgaria" - a coalition partner of "We Continue the Change", strongly opposed the exclusion of Daniel Lorer and Yavor Bozhankov from the parliamentary group of PP-DB, it became clear from a Facebook post.
