President Rumen Radev announced in Dobrich the launch of the 22nd edition of the "Bulgarian Christmas" charity campaign.

The theme of the campaign is "Giving Hope to a Child in Need". The aim is to raise money for high-tech equipment for early diagnosis and treatment.

Last year, 590 children were helped, the highest number since the initiative was launched. The funds raised totalled more than 1.6 million euros. This enabled 22 hospitals to receive the high-tech equipment they needed.

Launching the initiative today, Radev expressed his belief that over the years, Bulgarian Christmas has become more than just a fundraising campaign, but has established itself as a truly socially significant cause.
