Snow-covered slopes in Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo before start of the new season

The ski runs in the three major winter resorts of Bulgaria - Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo, are well covered with snow before the official start of the season, BGNES reports.

The 2024/2025 season will open in Borovets on December 15. A good base of snow has been accumulated in the Rila Mountain and on the slopes in the Markudzhik ski center.

In Bansko, the ski season opens on December 14. The snow cover at the lower lift station is 10 cm., at Banderishka Polyana it is 50 cm., and at Todorka – 120 cm. The resort announced the prices of ski passes for this season as promotional prices are valid until December 13. The ski season in Pamporovo starts on Saturday, December 7.

Vitosha Mountain also has 40cm. of snow cover. More snowfall is expected at the end of the week. Smaller ski areas such as Kartala and Dobrinishte are also already having good snow conditions.
