MEP delegation visits Danube Bridge 2

Members of the European Parliament and the European Commission will visit today the "Danube Bridge 2" near Vidin (on the border with Romania). The visit was organised by Bulgarian MEPs Emil Radev and Andrey Novakov of GERB/EPP. The delegation will include the European Commission's coordinator for the Western Balkans-Eastern Mediterranean Corridor, Marian-Jean Marinescu, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian caretaker government.

The delegation will inspect the border control facilities between Bulgaria and Romania to assess their capacity to operate under different control regimes without hindering the transit of vehicles across the bridge.
