GDP up by 2.4% during the third quarter

The Gross Domestic Product has gone up by 2.4% during the third quarter of the year compared to the same period of 2023, indicate preliminary National Statistical Institute data.

This indicates there is a certain acceleration of the growth rate, after the GDP increased by 2.2% during the second quarter compared to a year earlier. Every person in employment in Bulgaria creates an average GDP of EUR 19.17 per hour, National Statistical Institute data show further. During the third quarter of 2024, compared to the third quarter of 2023, employment has gone up in the sector of the services, and down in the agrarian and the industrial sector.
