Weather forecast for 9 December

On Monday: Unsettled weather, rain and wind

Overnight and until midday on Monday, 9 December, the weather will be cloudy with showers, especially in the south-west. After midday, the rain will stop and the clouds will break up, but later there will be rain again, especially in the mountainous areas. There will be moderate winds, gusty at times in eastern Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will be between 1° and 6°C, maximum between 8°C and 13°C, in the south-eastern regions up to 15°- 17°C. In Sofia, the minimum temperature will be around 1°C and the maximum - 10°C.

Over the mountains, the sky will be heavily overcast. Before noon, there will be rain, especially in the south-west, and snow above 1,700 m. After noon, precipitation will start again, especially in the mountain ranges of south-west Bulgaria. The wind will be strong, with gale-force gusts on high ridges and peaks. The maximum temperature will be around 6°C at 1,200 m and around 0°C at 2,000 m.

As in the rest of the country, there will be considerable cloud cover and precipitation over the Black Sea coast until midday. After midday, the rain will stop and the clouds will break up. Winds will be moderate, gusty at times on the northern coast. Maximum temperatures will be between 14° and 17°C. The sea temperature will be 11°-12°C.
