At the consultations with President Rumen Radev on the formation of a government within the 51st Parliament, the co-chairman of the fifth largest parliamentary group (BSP - United Left) Atanas Zafirov was adamant that a regular government should be formed. In his words, the responsibility for this lies with the first two political forces - GERB-SDS and We Continue the Change- Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB), which should start talking to each other and propose nationally responsible solutions to the others in Parliament.

''We are ready to participate in dialogue, even with party risks, but only if we are convinced that this would be a Bulgarian, nationally responsible cabinet with a clear horizon, clear policies and commitments, not an assemblage'', said Atanas Zafirov. According to him, the main task of the new government is to stop the process of total collapse of the statehood and preserve the democratic system in the country.
