Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will participate today in the European Council meeting in Brussels. The meeting of the leaders of the member states will be chaired for the first time by the new President of the European Council António Costa, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also participate. The situation in Ukraine will be a central topic in the discussions of the heads of state and government.

The program envisages Glavchev and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signing a 10-year Agreement on Security Cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine. Yesterday, the Bulgarian Prime Minister requested a mandate from the National Assembly to sign the agreement. The parliamentary groups of the BSP-United Left and Vazrazhdane declared themselves against its signing. Surprisingly, GERB-SDS also declared themselves against the agreement.
