GERB-SDS has called on Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to withdraw the 10-year Security Agreement with Ukraine. According to Daniel Mitov from GERB, the moment chosen by Glavchev to submit such an agreement to parliament is not the right one. Earlier today, Glavchev asked parliament to give a specific mandate to the caretaker government to sign the agreement.

Mitov pointed out that such a decision must be made by a regular cabinet. He said that such talks could harm the ongoing negotiations for a government. "At the end of the life of this caretaker government, a text is being proposed that will cause an excessively heated dynamic. We are currently holding talks to form a solid parliamentary majority to elect a cabinet with a 4-year mandate, and such a proposal could hinder the negotiation process," Mitov commented on the sidelines of parliament.

BSP-United Left and Vazrazhdane have already declared themselves against signing of the agreement.
