The 12th National Conference of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) will be held today in Sofia. It is expected that structural changes will be made so that DPS will have only one chairman - Delyan Peevski. It is also expected that the figure of the honorary chairman of DPS will be deleted and the exclusion of Ahmed Dogan, MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk, former mayor of Kardzhali Hasan Azis and Emel Etem will be confirmed.

Delyan Peevski and Dzhevdet Chakirov were elected co-chairmen of DPS at the national conference held in February. At that time, Turkey's President Recep Erdogan also made a congratulatory video address.

Ilhan Kyuchyuk from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms affiliated with Ahmed Dogan reminded in a letter to the media that on December 22, 1989, the political prisoner of totalitarianism Medi Doganov (Ahmed Dogan) was released. " 35 years later, on the same date, the power parasite Peevski divides and forces party members, activists and structures with administrative and power tactics", wrote Ilhan Kyuchyuk.

The two factions of the party are suing each other for the DPS brand. Ahmed Dogan's faction will mark the 35th anniversary of its founding on January 4, 2025.
