Servicemen in the National Guard Unit will receive additional monthly remuneration in the amount of 102 euros when preparing for holding official ceremonies and military rituals, it has become clear from the State Gazette. For participation in representative and official ceremonial, protocol events and military rituals of national and state importance, guardsmen will be paid 40 euros. The same amount will be paid for guard duty in the building of the presidential administration.
According to caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, the main problem of the army is the shortage of personnel, reaching 62% for the National Guard Unit. “Social expenses are vital in order to staff the army,” he says.
It is planned that the lowest basic monthly remuneration of servicemen from January 1 this year will be between 1176 EUR and 1211 EUR.
