All necessary measures have been taken to protect the exhibits of the "Ancient Thrace and the Classical World: Treasures from Bulgaria, Romania and Greece" exhibition in Los Angeles from the raging fires in the area, reported BTA. The exhibition, which is insured, is expected to be moved to a vault until the natural calamity is contained. Caretaker Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov has sent a letter to the management of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles requesting that the Bulgarian exhibits, including the Panagyurishte gold treasure, be moved to a safe location.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Bulgarian citizens not to travel to the area of the forest fire in Los Angeles County, California. Travel should only be undertaken in urgent cases, and prolonged stays in areas affected by the still active fire should be avoided. It is extremely important to follow the instructions and recommendations of the local authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
