Urgent legal changes prepared to avoid gasoline shortage

In a few days, the Ministry of Energy will publish for public discussion amendments to the Renewable Energy Sources Act, after which they will be submitted for voting in parliament. The goal is to avoid gasoline shortages and price increases from March 1. This was what the Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov has told media.

Yesterday, Svetoslav Benchev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Petroleum and Gas Association, warned in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio that the country could face gasoline shortage due to an error in the transposition of a European directive concerning the biofuel component, which must be corrected.
