So far, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles has not received any information about Bulgarian citizens injured in the raging wildfires. This was what the Bulgarian diplomatic mission announced on its Facebook page regarding the fires in the metropolis, in which at least 5 people died and dozens were injured.

More than 1,000 buildings have already burned down. An evacuation order has been issued for more than 100,000 people due to the fires, which are out of control, BTA reports.

Fire is burning also next to Getty Villa, where the exhibition “Ancient Thrace and the Classical World: Treasures from Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece" is on display. The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles announced that according to the latest data from Getty Villa, the museum buildings are safe and the fire has not affected them.
