Acting Prosecutor-General Borislav Sarafov has sent a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova reminding her that the Prosecutor's Office has not yet received any information on the requests to lift the immunity of three MPs, the Prosecutor's Office said.

In December, the Prosecutor General requested the lifting of the immunity of Jeyhan Ibryamov and Mario Rangelov of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms and Lena Borislavova of PP-DB.

Borislav Sarafov points out that the Code of Criminal Procedure obliges the prosecutor and the investigating authorities to ensure that pre-trial proceedings are conducted within the procedural deadlines established by law. He expects the Parliament to provide information on the measures taken in relation to the requests for permission to prosecute the three men.
