About 70 million euros were invested last year for improving the infrastructure of military bases, the caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said. The Ministry of Defense issued 40 permits for the construction of new buildings or the reconstruction of existing ones.

This year, efforts will be directed towards the infrastructural provision of the main projects for the modernization of the Bulgarian Army - the F-16 Block 70 aircraft, the multifunctional modular patrol ships, as well as to the provision of basic combat equipment for the battalion battle groups for the Land Forces.

It is also planned to build infrastructure for the accommodation and provision of the NATO Multinational Battle Group on our territory in the Kabile military grounds.
