Gas supplies from Azerbaijan not yet resumed

Natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria have not yet resumed. This is reported by BTA citing the Bulgarian state gas company Bulgargaz EAD.

The state supplier said that according to the latest available information, the technical problems had not been resolved. The new indicative date for the restoration of supplies is 19 January 2025. The previous estimate was for yesterday, January 15.

Bulgargaz added that a further delay would not affect the gas price for February. Yesterday, the company proposed for approval a new price for next month, 2.6% higher than January's.

Supplies from Azerbaijan have been disrupted since 7 January due to a problem with an underwater pipeline that brings gas from the bottom of the Caspian Sea to Baku.
