Cameroonian writer Jaili Amadou Amal in Sofia

The well-known Cameroonian writer and activist, winner of the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens 2020, Djaili Amadou Amal, is visiting Bulgaria to participate in the Night of Reading 2025 at the invitation of the French Institute in Bulgaria and the publishing house "Enthusiast". 

Ms Amal will take part in two key events - the Girls with a Mission: Education conference on 23 January at the Interpred building and a meeting with readers as part of the Night of Reading initiative at the French Institute's Mediatheque on 24 January. 

Jaili Amadou Amal has gained worldwide popularity for her works that deal with themes such as women's rights, social injustice and the difficulties faced by African women, but her novels carry universal messages.
