A combination of powerful house and techno beats, deep bass lines, captivating melodies, magical pop and authentic ethnic vocals – this is the music of the Bulgarian duo The KHANS. They are Petar Alexiev – composer and producer, and Atanas Borisov – DJ and producer.
Their latest composition ''Tears of Heaven'' was created specifically for the Italian scene and combines dark melodic techno with majestic Latin choral chants, embodying the sayings of philosophers. The main motto of the song is "Vivere est militare" (To live is to fight) – a quote by the famous philosopher Seneca.
The voice in Tears of Heaven belongs to Gergana Dimitrova – Belonoga, known as a soloist in the world-famous choir ''The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices'', as well as for her successful solo projects. Here is what Petar Alexiev said about her participation:
"Belonoga is perhaps one of the greatest voices in modern Bulgarian history, and our paths naturally intertwined."
To achieve a choral sound with only one voice, The KHANS recorded 120 tracks of her vocals. The result is so good that they are preparing six more collaborative projects.
The impact of ''Tears Of Heaven'' is also enhanced by the music video, created by Alexander Sokerov.
