Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism, Miroslav Borshosh, has held a series of meetings with business organizations in the tourism industry. The main topics of the talks were the need to introduce a Tourist Guarantee Fund, the fight against the gray sector and the promotion of cultural and congress tourism.

The business representatives supported the introduction of the Tourist Guarantee Fund and defined it as key to ensuring consumer protection. They called for a fight against the gray sector and unregistered tour operators.

"We cannot afford to subject the sector to risk and sanctions. We are working as quickly as possible to introduce the fund and ensure a sustainable mechanism to protect tourists and business," said Minister Borshosh.
