Weather forecast for 4 February

Temperatures will drop

On Tuesday, minimum temperatures will be between minus 3 and 2°C, around minus 2°C in Sofia. During the day, cold air will spread across the country. Clouds will be heavier over southern Bulgaria, with light snow showers in the Rila-Rhodope region and rain in the extreme south-west. Winds will continue to be moderate from the north-northeast, and gusty at times in the east. Maximum temperatures will be between 1 and 6°C, around 1°C in the capital.

In the mountains it will be cloudy with light snowfall in Rila and Rhodope. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m will be minus 1°C, at 2,000 m around minus 6°C.

Along the Black Sea coast there will be variable clouds with maximum temperatures between 5 and 6°C. The sea temperature will be 8-9°C. The sea swell will be 3-4.

On Wednesday, clouds will break over western and central Bulgaria, while eastern regions will remain mostly cloudy. There is a chance of light snow showers. Winds will increase again. Minimum temperatures will drop by another 2-3 degrees, while daytime temperatures will remain unchanged.
