Foreign Ministry advises Bulgarians on the Cyclades islands to get in touch with the Bulgarian embassy

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is urging the Bulgarian citizens on the Greek islands of the Cyclades,who have decided not to leave the seismic zone, to get in touch with the Bulgarian embassy in Athens and to provide contact information in case of need.

Thousands of residents of Santorini and the nearby islands have evacuated in the last few days by ship and plane after more than 40 quakes over magnitude 4 have been registered in the past 72 hours. The Foreign Ministry also advises Bulgarians to closely monitor all information about seismic activity and to strictly follow all preventive measures and instructions by the local and the central authorities in Greece.
