Bulgaria has received compensation for its assistance to Ukraine

348 million BGN / EUR178 million/ have been deposited into the Ministry of Defense's budget at the end of January as part of the compensation agreement for the provision of assistance to Ukraine, Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova announced at a briefing at the Council of Ministers.

"With this, we are practically seeing an improvement in the balance of the state budget and the consolidated fiscal program. This is good news for both the armed forces and the public finances of our country", said Minister Petkova.

Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov explained that the funds acquired as compensation for assistance to Ukraine will be used for maintenance and modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
