GERB never falsifies things and it is clear what the hole in the budget is due to. Let's humble ourselves a little and not try to shift the responsibility to other people. This is how Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova addressed the opposition MPs in parliament, where she was called to answer questions on the state of finances.

Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone is a key commitment of the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov, Petkova said. She recalled that GERB and Boyko Borissov have put Bulgaria in the eurozone waiting room and accused the opposition of pushing false claims. We will do everything possible to make the eurozone membership happen, Petkova added. She said that over 2 billion euros will be transferred for payment from the budget for 2024 to this year.
