Weather forecast for 12 February

Frosty mornings and cold sun during the day

On Wednesday morning, visibility will be reduced in places in the plains and valleys. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 10 and minus 4°C, reaching minus 14°C in some basins. In Sofia it will be around minus 10. During the day, clouds will break and decrease over eastern Bulgaria and it will be mostly sunny across the country. After midday, clouds will increase from the west. Maximum temperatures will be between 3°C and 8°C, around 5°C in the capital.

In the mountains it will be sunny, but clouds will move in from the west in the afternoon. Winds will be moderate from the east-northeast, occasionally strong from the north-northwest in the high mountains. The maximum temperature will be minus 2°C at 1,200 m and around minus 7°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast, clouds will decrease and the weather will be mostly sunny. Moderate to strong winds will blow from the north-northeast. Maximum temperatures will be between 3 and 5°C. The sea temperature will be 5-7°C. The sea swell will be 3-4.

On Thursday, clouds will increase in the east. Most of the country will be cloudy most of the day. Light snow will fall in isolated places in western and northern Bulgaria. Night temperatures will be higher - between minus 5° and 0°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 1-2°C in north-western Bulgaria to 7-8°C in south-eastern regions.
