94% of workers in Bulgaria are dissatisfied with their salary, shows a survey conducted by Podkrepa Confederation of Labor. 91% of the respondents in the representative survey said that they receive a net income of less than 2,500 BGN (1,250 EUR) and only 8% earn more than this amount.

The share of working poor earning less than BGN 1,100 (EUR 550) is 24%, the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour said. Two-thirds of the working population earn between 1,100 BGN (EUR 550) and 2,500 BGN (1,250 EUR). It also becomes clear that 36% of workers receive bonuses in addition to their salaries.
