1,300 refugees in Bulgaria will be trained under the Caritas project "Bulgarian language for people from all over the world". In an interview with BNR, the project's coordinator, Maria Teoharova, pointed out that the project is aimed at refugees who have sought and found protection in Bulgaria.

A large portion of the migrants are eager to learn Bulgarian after realizing that the language is necessary for their integration. "The project is in response to the growing interest in the Bulgarian language", said Maria Teoharova. The refugees will be trained in Sofia, Plovdiv and Harmanli.
