Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 21 February 2025

Freezing temperatures expected in most regions of Bulgaria on Friday

On Friday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be between - 20°C and - 5°C. In Sofia, it will be around minus 13°C. 

During the day, it will be mostly sunny. There will be a weak, in the eastern regions to moderate wind from the north-northeast. Temperatures will be in wide limits. 

The highest temperatures tomorrow ​​will be from minus 6 to 5°C in the most southwestern regions, in the capital it will be around minus 1°C.

In the mountains, it will be mostly sunny. There will be a moderate, on the ridges - a strong wind from the north-northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. will be minus 8°C, at 2,000 m. around minus 13°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, there will be scattered clouds and cold sun. The maximum temperatures will be from minus 3°C to 1°C in the south. The temperature of the sea water is 5-6°C. 

On Saturday it will be very cold, with scattered clouds, over many areas breaking to sunny spells. Temperatures will be in wide limits. The minimums will be from minus 20°C in the northeastern to minus 5°C in the extreme southwestern regions, and the highs - from minus 6°C to 2-3°C.

In the Balkans it will be mostly sunny. There will be more significant cloudiness over Greece, and before noon in places in the lowlands there will be fog or low clouds.

In Athens it will be 8°C, in Bucharest - minus 3°C, in Belgrade -  6°C is expected. In Istanbul it will be 2°C.
