The average annual salary in Bulgaria increases by 13.9%

In 2024, the average gross annual salary in Bulgaria is 27,881 BGN (EUR 14,255), according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute. Compared to 2023, this marks an increase of 13.9%, with the public sector seeing an increase of 14.8% and the private sector an increase of 13.5%.

In the public sector, the highest average gross annual salary is in the "Financial and Insurance Activities" sector (65,191 BGN/EUR 33,331.64/, while in the private sector, it is in the "Creation and Distribution of Information and Creative Products; Telecommunications" sector (64,257 BGN/ EUR 32,854.09/.
