A sports festival for children and youth with special needs will be held today in the square in front of the Ruse Municipality building, the local association "Parents of Children and Adults with Autism" announced. The event is dedicated to the first year of the start of sports activities for children with special needs in the city.
At the competition, participants will show their skills despite their diagnoses and developmental disorders. The sports festival will be joined by various communities that spread the initiative for children with autism, Down syndrome and developmental deficits to play sports every day and exceed their abilities, no matter how impossible it might seem.
A demonstration of training, children's Zumba, a short-distance marathon are some of the sports events of the festival. In addition, animators will lift the mood of the children and folklore formations will perform Bulgarian dances.
