In recent months, there have been problems with communication with Ukraine, said Ivaylo Mirchev, MP from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) and a member of the leadership of "Yes, Bulgaria" which is part of the coalition.
At the public discussion "Democratic Shield against Russian Disinformation: Economic and Informational (In)Security," organized by the Center for the Study of Democracy, he said:
"I cannot reveal everything, but there are very serious problems in the interaction with Ukraine. This is part of the tendency of some Bulgarian politicians to avoid taking a clear stance," Mirchev stressed.
"The last hours are crucial for Bulgaria and Europe. In Bulgaria, a large part of the political elite has buried its head in the sand. They have lowered themselves and do not dare to talk about what is happening in the US and Europe," the MP said, as quoted by BTA.
