Bulgaria’s top ranked tennis player Grigor Dimitrov defeated Nuno Borges (Portugal) in the second-round of the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells. Dimitrov won in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 after 1 hour and 33 minutes of play.

The Bulgarian showed that the health problems that have been troubling him since the beginning of the year are behind him, and he is gradually getting into the desired form.

In the third round of the tournament, Dimitrov will face Gael Monfils (France), who defeated Sebastián Korda (Argentina) 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4).

In January, Grigor Dimitrov was eliminated in the first round of the Australian Open after withdrawing due to injury. After a month off the court, he returned to play but lost in Doha to Jiri Lehecka in two sets. In Dubai, he was unable to complete his match against Christopher O'Connell. Currently, Grigor No 15 in the ATP World Ranking.
