50 children and young people from three continents, in 13 different countries around the world, took part in an international literary competition for children from Bulgarian communities around the world between December 2024 and March 2025. The organiser - the Bulgarian Embassy in Brazil - announced the news on its Facebook page. "We are glad to have had the opportunity to read the works of Bulgarian children living in Brazil, Portugal, Moldova, Turkey, Czech Republic, France, Canada, Peru, Greece, Ukraine, Spain, Argentina and the United States," the mission said.
The jury consisted of Doctoral student Angela Georgieva - chairperson, Ambassador Bojidara Sartchadjieva - honorary member, Consul Nina Pencheva - honorary member and main members - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Justine Toms (New Bulgarian University) and Lili Spasova from the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad. Additional prizes were awarded, as well as the Grand Prize - Laureate of the Competition to the participant who wrote on the theme "If I were an ambassador for a day, I would...". The Embassy thanked the participants, their parents and teachers and wished them to keep their love for Bulgaria and not to stop creating.
