Weather forecast for 7 April

Week starts with snow and freezing temperatures

On Monday there will be snow showers or a mix of rain and snow in many places. The precipitation will decrease and stop, and the clouds will clear in the evening. The minimum temperature will be minus 3°C, around minus 1°C in Sofia, and the maximum will be between 3°C and 8°C, around 5°C in Sofia.


In the mountains, the day will start with cloudy weather and snow showers, but during the day the snow will stop almost everywhere. The most intense and significant precipitation will be in the Rhodopes, Strandzha and Sakar mountains. Winds will be moderate and strong from the north. Temperatures will fall, reaching a maximum of about minus 2°C at 1,200 m and about minus 9°C at 2,000 m. 


Along the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy most of the day with rain and snow showers. In the evening the precipitation will stop and the clouds will clear. There will be moderate to strong northerly winds. The sea will be rough, with waves reaching 3-4 metres and up to 5 metres south of Burgas. Maximum temperatures will be 5° - 6°C and sea water temperatures will be 9° - 10°C.


Cold air will cover the whole Balkan Peninsula. Snow will fall in the eastern part, rain and snow in Greece.
