Unemployment in Bulgaria is below 4 per cent, according to NSI data for March quoted and summarised by BNT.

A decrease in remote work is observed — a 4% decline and 1% decrease compared to the previous year. Job offers for remote work make up only 8% of all job postings. The decline is most pronounced in the IT sector (47%), followed by administrative and support services (18%), outsourcing (15%) and trade and sales (11%).
A third of job vacancies require no previous experience. Recruiters say this reflects the failure of the education system to produce enough skilled workers. Analysts argue that increasing salaries alone will not solve the skills shortage.
