The Bulgarian and Turkish Chief Prosecutors, Borislav Sarafov and Muhsin Şentürk, held an official meeting in the Court House in Sofia. This is Muhsin Şentürk's first official visit to Bulgaria since taking office and follows the visit of a delegation from the Bulgarian Prosecutor General's Office to Ankara in February 2025. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Mehmet Sait Uyanık, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey in Sofia.

The heads of the Bulgarian and Turkish prosecutor's offices discussed criminal law issues of mutual interest. The high level of trust between the Bulgarian and Turkish prosecution services and the excellent operational cooperation in the fight against various forms of cross-border organised crime, illegal migration, terrorism and cybercrime were underlined.

The exchange of good practices and joint training of prosecutors and investigators between the two countries were discussed.
