Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 18 April 2025

Temperatures will drop, it will rain over Western and Central Bulgaria on Friday

On Friday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be from 7 to 12°C. In Sofia, it will be around 10°C. During the day, the cloudiness over the western and central regions will be broken and decrease to mostly sunny spells. After lunch, clouds will develop there and in places there will be short-term rainfall with thunderstorms. They will be more significant in quantity in the mountains and in the regions of Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Plovdiv, Sofia. A light to moderate wind will blow and with it cool air will penetrate. 


Daytime highs on Friday will be between 19 and 24°C, in the capital Sofia - around 19°C.

In the mountains before lunch it will be sunny. After lunch, rainy cloudiness will develop over the western massifs and there will be short-term precipitation from rain with thunderstorms. A moderate wind will blow and with it cold air will begin to invade. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 m. will be about 15°, at 2000 meters - about 6°.

Along the Black Sea coast, cloudiness will be significant, but precipitation is unlikely. Maximum air temperatures will be between 12 and 14°C.

On Saturday, there will be precipitation over Eastern Bulgaria, and after noon from the west, the cloudiness will break and decrease, as highs will reach 16 and 21°C. By the evening, precipitation will stop everywhere.

On the Balkans, cloudiness will be significant over the northern half of the peninsula and in places there will be short rain showers. There will be almost no precipitation in the eastern regions of the peninsula. It will be mostly sunny in Greece and the European part of Turkey.

In Athens daytime highs will be 25°C, in Bucharest - 22°C, in Belgrade - 21°C, in Istanbul - 19°C.
